“Down Syndrome Stops Nothing”
Our Story
Everything we have is a gift from God. Sometimes the gifts that God gives us helps us to grow and change. At the age of 26 I gave birth to my son that I carried for nine months and did not know he had Down Syndrome. I know we are not supposed to question God, but I had a lot of questions and the first question was, “Why Me Lord?” I think God has revealed that answer for me many times. I am a firm believer that if God places something in your spirit and you think of it constantly throughout the day, you’re supposed to do something with it. God has placed this vision on my heart a few years ago and it’s time for me to give birth to it. God’s love for me is so AMAZING!! I am GRATEFUL for God LOVING me and always revealing that he is always in control.
Down syndrome does not define my son Nehemiah. Our motto is “Down Syndrome Stops Nothing” Since the birth of my son I have organized Down Syndrome Walks in Saginaw County, started a support group for parents of children with disabilities and now I am getting ready to launch my bags in support of Down Syndrome Awareness and Autism awareness. My plan is to bring awareness to all the disabilities.
